More than thirty years ago, when I first started this path, all I had was one light and one dining table.Back then, I didn’t think about words like charity or public service.I simply felt that if the children had no food to eat and no place to sleep, someone had to stay. So I stayed.
Over the years, watching the children grow up, leave, and later return as volunteers,I learned something:kindness doesn’t disappear— it just passes from one person to the next. Some people give money, some give their time, and as for me, I gave my life to it.
